Youth group meets on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. The Friday Youth Group is held on Friday evenings in term time from 7.30pm to 9.00 pm. It offers social events to which the young people in church can invite their friends. The activities alternate between outings (such as 10 pin bowling, punting or rounders versus other church groups) and quieter in-house ‘chill’ sessions which start with games such as pool or table tennis before the girls and boys divide for discussions based upon a biblical theme. Our theme this term: EGYPT Bin those woolly jumpers and dump those hideous socks Aunt Ethel sent you for Christmas because we’re off to Egypt!! The Sun...the Sand...the Pyramids. Sounds brilliant, yes?! No. At least not for God’s people 1000s of years ago; they couldn’t wait to leave! Weird... So on Fridays (and Sundays) we’ll be figuring out why as we see how God rescued his people from the world’s worst package-holiday. And of course we’ve got the usual mix of a-mazing events, super-cool games and some tasty tuck. Oh, and don’t forget the return of sprout bowling! 8 January - Youth Group restart 29 January - Film Night 19 February - HALF TERM - no Youth Group 12 March - Chip Chase 26 March - Last Youth Group Brochure for download |

Once a month on a Wednesday about 25-30 people, share a hot meal at 12.15pm. The lunch follows a weekly chair- based exercise class for over 50’s (most of whom are in their 70’s and 80’s) run in the church hall by the local council. There is a short talk in the style of a ‘thought for the day’ at the end. On weeks when there is no lunch the coffee pot is open for meeting and mingling with others. |
